Building for a Stronger Future
As the demand for Fort Bend Care Center’s programs and services continues to grow, we are planning a new 14,000-square-foot Care Center to expand our capacity and meet the needs of our community. This new facility will allow us to double the number of individuals and families we serve, providing critical education, resources, and support. Together, we can create a space where learning, growth, and community development thrive.
A Space Designed for Impact
Our future Care Center will include:
- Adult Education Classrooms – Five dedicated spaces for English as a Second Language (ESL), GED preparation, and work and life skills training.
- Early Childhood Education Classrooms – Five classrooms and a playground designed to provide high-quality preschool instruction for children ages 3–5, helping to close the educational gap.
- Large Event Space – A multi-purpose area for food distribution, children’s enrichment programs, and community development initiatives.
- Essential Offices & Storage – Supporting the efficient operation of our expanding programs.
This facility will be a hub of education, opportunity, and hope, empowering individuals and strengthening families.
Generous Grants
We’re grateful for the generous support of organizations that have contributed grants toward our building campaign.
Fort Bend Community Church provided $1,000,000 for the building campaign. The George Foundation has committed a $750,000 matching grant, significantly amplifying the impact of every donation we receive.
The Baxter Trust joined our capital campaign with a $100,000 grant, and The William Stamps Farish Fund awarded us $150,000 to help equip our new facility with essential equipment. St. Laurence Catholic Church provided a $12,500 contribution to our capital fund.
Most recently, the Fondren Foundation awarded at $200,000 grant in support of the capital campaign, and the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation pledged a $500,000 challenge grant for the new Care Center building.

With funds already raised, pledged, and the addition of the Mabee Challenge Grant, the Care Center is now just $738,500 away from fully funding this transformative project.
